![]() If it really is like it appears, that is something you would simply NEVER see on an ST Dupont pen. It might well simply be an artifact of the picture but it looks as though it is not even, smooth, finished and uniform. If you look closely you will see an arc of black plastic between the palladium of the section and the nib itself. One last point, but one that would have likely turned me away from the pen, can be seen in the closeup of the nib. You need to host the images on a site like Flickr or Photobucket and then link to the images.ĭo the tines look seperated to you in the nib photo? Also found out it is through ebay. I've hit upload file and it looks like something happens but on the post, nada. Perhaps I don't have a sufficient number of posts yet. Sorry, I can't figure out how to get a pic uploaded, though I see where it can be done. If you can post some pictures of the pen or tell us more about it, it's likely we can help. You can't really tell anything about authenticity based on a serial number. I think it is the real thing, but as a newbie to your world my education is important (as is not subjecting my presidents to unnecessary sunlight!) Can anyone tell me how the Dupont numbering system works? A friend of a friend of a friend is selling one and the number on the clip is 5C0DP00.
